When creating a new Task or Memo in Evolution on Karmic RC, as soon as
the Task or memo is saved, Evolution segfaults. For some reason I'm not
able to catch the crash in Apport, but the Syslog reports:

A possible workaround to avoid the flicker (at least in my case) is to
disable kernel modesetting, that way g-p-m does not seem to get out of
sync, although it is still buggy in that each brightness keypress is
handeled twice, that is both by g-p-m and in hardware.

I have a nVidia Corporation GeForce 8600M GT. I then decided to use the
Nvidia proprietary drivers instead of the free ones. Now, I can
hibernate (no suspending) and the computer awake 90% of the time. This
is not perfect but this is better than before.

I am suffering the same problem. The first time I try to play an mp3 in
rythmbox, there is no sound but the app behaves like it is playing. If I

I also have a D430, and for me this only happens if I detach AC power
while the computer is suspended (which is tracked in bug 425411). Is
that the case for you as well?
