It's a huge regression for me. I hate to use Windows because I cannot
change volume with mouse wheel. It's a feature that I use and I
recommend that for several years.
Due to regression, I think this ticket must be a BUG and not in

On login I got a Dialog that thinks my language has changed (it hasn't)
and it want to change "/home/egon/Desktop" to "/home/egon/Download".
I attach a screenshot. This is a hardy->lucid upgraded system, but the
dialog appeared a few logins late

I'm an en_US speaker who supports this change. "Switch Off" just feels
very strange, and it's not immediately obvious what it does. "Turn Off"
would be the best of the alternatives--when talking about any electronic
device (phones, tvs, etc.), we say "I'm going to turn off the tv."

Aha, yeah, I can reproduce it.
Some additional background: I removed "Ubuntu One" using the Ubuntu
Software Center just after installing Lucid, and also removed the Ubuntu
One directory in my $HOME.
Now, I open Evolution and it goes OK until I go to the Contacts section
and I just click in the "U
