We should be able to trigger this whenever a dependabot PR is created.
It does add an extra dependency on GitHub, but if we're using

Is there any reason you can't use Calcite's existing JDBC driver for
this purpose?

Unfortunately I don't have a Windows environment I can readily test
on, but could open a JIRA case? My first guess would be that there's
an issue with the buildSqllineClasspath Gradle task on Windows.

This could be a great opportunity for anyone interested in giving a
talk about Calcite and normally unable to attend ApacheCon.

Sounds fine to me although many of the important settings only have
affect in the master branch. I hadn't heard about this config file but
it's nice to see this from INFRA :)

I'll just add for the relatively common case where a rule is matching
a node with a specific node as a child, and so on that we could easily
add a less verbose API to make this part of the rule definition
equally concise.

That explanation makes sense to me. +1 Since it can't be easily
automated, I'd suggest we include a very brief description of how to
recreate the file.

Seems like a nice performance improvement! Am I correct in
understanding that the cache when merged would still be in your
personal S3 bucket? If that is the case, I wonder if we can instead
connect with INFRA to see about the possibility for ASF-managed
storage.

, but
some options cannot be configured this way. When you need to use one
of those options, it makes sense to move to a JSON configuration.
4) No. Only simple options can be expressed as part of the connecting
string which may or may not be sufficient for your use case.

the
default branch name to main, I suspect that if this is a problem, it
would not be specific to Calcite and will also resolve itself as the
use of "main" becomes more common.
