the Clean up option, ACS will create a new VR from the systemvm template.

I am planning to upgrade my ACS from version 4.2.1 to version 4.4 this weekend.
Following the last disastrous upgrade from 4.2.1 to 4.3.0, which also related
to the system vm issues, I would like to verify the required steps to have a
_working_ ACS following upgrade to 4.4? Reading
Daan, apart from the template issues, which I believe were already solved, are
there any other issues with KVM that might prevent one to upgrade?
I was planning to upgrade this this weekend, but are now considering postponing
the upgrade.

Not sure if this is related, but the only time i've had issues with starting
vms with XenServer + CloudStack was vhd-utils were not copied to
/opt/xensource/bin folder. Make sure the file is there.

I've noticed that during volume migration from NFS to RBD primary storage the
volume image is first copied to /tmp and only then to the RBD storage. This
seems silly to me as one would expect a typical volume to be larger than the

For large deployments it is a must feature to automatically upgrade a zone or
region level system vms. I think that ACS should not only automatically upgrade
the templates, but also have the option to automatically upgrade the running

Not that I want to delay the release even more, but has anyone tested the S3
Secondary Storage functionality of the 4.2.1? I can't be the only one with
issues. I've tried installing ACS three times and the issue is reproducable.
Things like migration of vms installed from templates or isos store

release. Unless off course you have been able to get it working in
4.2.0 and it is now broken.
If not it will have to move to a future release.
I do not use s3 based secondary storage so I can't verify.

There is definitely an issue with snapshotting for kvm.
I've been done some tests, but not finished yet. What i've discovered is that

I am having running snapshot issues on large volumes. The hypervisor is KVM and
the storage backend is Ceph (rbd). ACS version is 4.11.2. Here is my issue:

A quick feedback from my side. I've never had a properly working delete
snapshot with ceph. Every week or so I have to manually delete all ceph
snapshots. However, the NFS secondary storage snapshots are deleted just fine.
I've been using CloudStack for 5+ years and it was always the case. I am
