This is a new feature and something we never supported.
The model feature was the user-readable type of phone on Android (i.e.
Nexus 5X) where the name was the in-house codename for it, in this case
bullhead. When we switched to device.model, we removed device.name.

I know people have been waiting for this for a very long time, but I wrote

Given that Android Studio is on 2.1.1, I think it's time we moved forward
and changed things around.
Proposal PR is here:
This is pretty important, and the vulnerability has been out for a week now

It's interesting that
not
PhoneGap, Ionic, Taco or the other distributions.

BTW: The last one was a joke. But in all honesty, we should all spend a
bit more time on Stack seeing what's going on there with our respective
products/distributions.

1. I don't want to use a Kanban board.
2. I did some initial investigation and the WebView on N isn't ready to be
used. There's crashes the moment you try and resize a cordova application,
and it's clear that we should probably wait until the next Developer
Preview before we do anything.

So, apparently some people are reporting that the ONLINE_EVENT bridge that
we currently use by default in Android has a race condition when you start
using more than one WebView in an application. Even though we decided to
not support the case of having multiple webviews in an Application, it's
Actually, we already document this as clear as possible in the README.md
for the plugin. I think this is a very serious understatement.

Hey
Once again, I ran into someone using the Battery Plugin that actively kills
the Battery on Android, and can we please discourage people from using this
very broken plugin that we have no ability or intention of fixing?
The reason I don't want to fix it because the browser already supports it
OK, because I'm paranoid about this one due to the backlash I think it
could get, here's a pull request:
https://github.com/apache/cordova-android/pull/270
Can people review it and let me know if this makes sense? Then we can merge
it in.
