sounds good. Maybe you can choose two color for OpenOffice.org that
shows the original differentiation better.
Thanks
Hi,
But! A virtual only OOoCon will certainly gets a -1 from me.
I absolutely agree. Nothing prevents us from having RegiCons or
VirtualCons in addition, but *the* event of the OOo year should not be
virtual only. :-) We can also check to get better integration of virtual
participants, but
Hi!
Here is the version with added text and rearranged positions. I avoided
graphics overkill with the text and made
it like the OOo logo. The center graphics is enough "eyecandy".

To help discussion, I've put together some simple sketches of how the
Presentation Kit could work.
Reminder: we have a professionally printed generic OOo folder like

We then fill this with appropriate inserts. For exam

Yes I agree that virtual conferences etc separate to the OOoCon would be
appropriate. It is important for OOo people to gather each year to meet in
person. However it could be possible to maybe have a virtual conference one
year and an "in person" conference the other year. IE there would be a

Hi,
I dont see why we shouldnt have both, most of the issues of the "real
conferences" is that we can't get a whole representation of the
community to come down to ground agreements. These was experience during

I suppose it comes down to how much money the OOoCon coordinators are
willing to put into it. Having a virtual conference would save tons of
money plus make it far more accessible to those too busy to actually attend
the conference or can't afford it.
Maybe it could be split so part of OOoCon is

But Johns question is, if we think it is wise looking at our earth and

So I would seriously consider the possibility to have one real life

Yes RegiCons are something that could be considered - I live in New Zealand
- do you honestly expect people like me to travel all the way to Europe for
a conference - maybe a conference for each main land mass/continent could
happen every second year.
I agree we should have OOoCons but you have to
