This plugin is not part of the Maven core so you can likely use any modern
version of the plugin with Maven 3.2.5. As for how to use it, probably best to
start with http://www.mojohaus.org/cobertura-maven-plugin/ and then ask more

Why bother with the custom property? Do this instead and the release plugin is
happy:

Hi,
Sorry for the noise but it seems like the Maven Release Plugin 2.5.2 (with
Maven 3.3.3) is not doing what I would have expected with a Git repo. As you
can see below, the "git push" command is mangling the repository by tacking the
artifactId of my multi-module project onto the end of t
f the dependencies), you will need to make sure that
the CLASSPATH is properly set before running the JAR.
If you want to create a self-contained JAR that includes all of the
dependencies, you should use the assembly plugin rather than the JAR plugin.

What exactly is the problem that Igor ran into that limits his solution to
Unix-only? Knowing this would help people determine what the level of effort
needed to solve the problem.

t more difficult for casual users to use Maven for
casual builds (e.g., I regularly use it to build sample projects for customers
that I never intend to do anything else with once I send it to the customer).

Oracle recently changed its approach to version numbers for the JDK in which
minor version numbers get skipped, depending on the type of update. Pretty
sure there weren't 10 new JDK 5 releases.
