Has anyone connected a Samsung 11Mbps Wireless LAN Card: PCI Card
SWL-2000P to an e-smith box as an external network card?
The service provider who is responsible for all aerials etc. up to the
external network card has given me this card. Unfortunately it is not on
he Redhat 7.0 list. The Samsun
One of the boxes I admin which is on roadrunner cable has had over 1000 hits
since 8/5. The kscable.com network is becoming saturated.

Don't want to start a "mine is bigger than yours" contest, but:
grep default.ida?X /var/log/httpd/access_log | wc -l
1889
Half of those in the last 36 hours. This one is definitely worse than the
initial variant.

Hi Michael,
The monitor script uses /dev/proc/net to learn what interfaces to look
for, but as you might guess this is done incorrectly. Please, hardcode
the interaces you want to monitor untill we solve this problem.

I bet some joker added aol to the blacklist because they thought it might be

Alexander,
My partner worked on the tomcat installation. Unfortunately, he is getting
married
in two weeks, and did not have the time to finish the documentation.
We are on hold at this time!
Sorry

Well this new summary of changes did the trick for me. All links I checked
for etho and eth1 called up the appropriate graphs. Thanks a lot. BTW, I
haven't received any error emails about rrd or cron regarding the server
monitor. It seems to be working fine for me.

Charlie,
By default transproxy doesn't log to /var/log/squid/access.log. Any ideas?
Do I have to modify anything in the squid.conf? Enable logging, etc. I'm
sure it's something really simple.
Thanks,
Trev.

I have also received cron e-mails. Not as many as Michael reports but
given these errors and the script errors being pointed out,
I'd prefer the ne "lo" && ne "sl0" but in a pinch, I borrowed the lines
from /usr/bin/creabases.
This is the file used to create the original rrd files, but it misses sl0

That's because you've entries for sl0 in /proc/net/dev..
However I don't know /proc/net/dev is generated so, I can't give a solution
for this file.
The solution I propose is editing line 59 of
/etc/e-smith/web/functions/monitor
and adding
"&& $1 no deviceYouDontWantToDisplay"
example for sl0:

Ok.
I've made the changes and have got the monitor working OK - however I have 2
questions.
1). The monitor is trying to display information for a 'sl0' device - and
as such all that is appearing there is an empty graphic place. All other
graphs are displaying correctly.
2). The web page is di

I had the same problem...
Look at /proc/net/dev, you should have entries for ppp1 ppp2 and ppp3. but
with not usefull information behind.
The server monitoring module looks in this file to find what interface to
monitor... but it seems like this file does not alway contain the active
interfaces.
After normal running of a few days the E-Smith Server Monitoring Module
started to produce masses of cron error mails:
