The ipchains example _updown script in the 1.8 documentation used to have syntax errors in it. I do not thing they ever updated the documentation to fix it. My 4.x rpms have the ipchains _updown with all the syntax errors fixed if it isn't already installed by default on SME Andy Worthi

Are only PCI ethernet cards supported? I have an ISA 3Com Etherlink III 3C509B-TP card and saw that in the manual 3C509 is on the list but the card was not autodetected during configuration. Is this card supported and which driver should be used for it? Thanks

WinME and pptpd

Tested WinME connecting to the pptpd server and it worked great. Didn't need any updates from Microsoft or different settings than a normal 95/98 box would require. ME box worked with both a cable modem connection and modem dialup connection to the internet. Andy Worthington rockcity.com
