Recently I have gotten interested in WinLink 2000 and recalled that I
had a old PacComm Pactor Controller with version 2.02 firmware. I mis-
placed the manual and connection diagram -- can anyone help with

I have configured my TS-2000 for remote access via the Internet using
Ham Radio Deluxe and Skype. If anyone is interested in testing it ,
please email me and we can arrange a time when I am in the shack as
control operator. Access will be via a username and passord that I
will issue.

I use the Rascal, its small and total isolation between the rig and the
computer.
I have the 13 pim DIM connected to the ACC2, this way set-up the audio levels
in the menu and you are completed

The problem with the LIL Rascal, and the reason I replaced mine, is that it
does NOT have a separate CW keying capability (You can only run cw if you feed
audio into SSB ((MCW))), and it does not have a microphone jack. That means
you cannot easily run SSTV or have a mike attached to it, and
Hi all,
How do you feel about being spotted on the cluster?
I thought it could be a smart way to tell the HAM community about JT65A
on HF, but I don't
want to provoke anybody in the group.

I think it is a good idea, just to get people more aware of what DX they can
work on low power.

As long as you or another station is spotting someone outside your own
country, that is DX, and I see no way that anyone should be upset about it.
Individuals may indeed not want to be spotted, and that is entirely
different. In a normal QSO I most always ask the other station, at the end
of the
Just tested DM780 with Ham Radio Deluxe and Skype and it worked in
receive mode very well. I connected to my home station via the
Internet, woke up my TS-2000, tuned to 14070 , launched DM780 in PSK31
mode and was able to decode dignals very well. All this from my
neighbour's house, next step is
Yes, I used RPSK quite a bit a while back.
See http://wa5znu.org/rpsk for source for the client.
I stopped using it for TX because I didn't have a hardware 3min timer.
I still think it is the right approach to send and receive data over
TCP, not the audio. Someday soon I intend to put the
Good evening dear Amateurs:
My sound card is integrated with the motherboard. It is not finctioning as
should be. I installed a new sound card from Sound Blaster. Installed the
software and the SYSTEM tells me it is functioning together with the other one.
But when I start sound card operation
Was I was on Maui two years ago, I used Skype and LogMeIn to control my home
station (near Boston) and made QSOs in CW, SSB, RTTY, and PSK. The software
was WinWarbler, Commander, and DXView (antenna rotation). The transceiver
being controlled was an Icom 756. I recall no latency issues.

Andy,
Once I get the full mode support in place I will write a remote agent for
DM780 - then you get the audio without any compression caused by SKYPE or
whatever. My aim is to use a station in California from my home in
Switzerland.
I'll open source the agent (Windows only for now) so that
HEY GUYS DON'T TRY TO CALL A STATION THAT HAS
MORE THAN 100CPS OF DF FROM YOU. IF HE IS LOOKING
AT +/- 200 OR LESS, HE IS NOT GOING TO DECODE YOU
AND YOU ARE WASTING TIME !
I WAS CALLING CQ TODAY ON 20M WITH MY TOL SET TO 200.
I DID NOT GET ANY ANSWERS AT FIRST, BUT NOTICED

Omar,
Start|Settings|Control Panel|Sound and Audio Device|Audio should let
you change the default. Also, you can probably disable the on board
sound card in your BIOS, though the exact steps depends on your mother
board.

Setting the freq. in the SpecJT window does change only rx freq, but
tx stays the same?
I did not know that. Thanks for info.

Dave, I have used Winwarbler and Multipsk on the local computer this
evening, connected to my home station via Skype. Both work well on the
broadband wireless system my local PC was using. I did a test transmission
in RTTY , AFSK, and the audio sounded a little rough at the remote end. I

That would be very useful Simon.
Thanks, Happy Easter.

In the remote control configuration I used, WinWarbler was running on
my home station PC, so the audio link from PC to transceiver did not
traverse Skype. Skype let me hear the received audio at my remote
location, and transmit SSB.
I have not tried transporting PSK or RTTY audio between PC
