John,
I have used most of the programs with my TS-530S. The stability of the analog
VFO is marginal for digital modes but with the VFO-230 external digital VFO the
stability is quite good. There is no computer interface for radio control but
the digital mode interface is the same for most r
Just too bad the cw deliberate QRM had to be there.

I would guess 40 and 20 would be the best , Russell,
Yes Howard. The HF Ale network is very active with hams standing by but I
do not see any actual use of the ALE stations, so far. PSKmail , as I
mentioned earlier, appears tailor made for relaying traffic from/to Haiti .

Andy, is this the time when we see how effective or useful ALE and, since

Andy, what frequency should I put my puppymail server on so it can be used.

I agree, I have used most all those programs, and none is as simple or easy to
use as MixW. It costs a bit, but is well worth it.

Hello John,
I also use Airlink Express, the smaller version and have been for some time
now. As you say its easy to use, has an attractive operating page and a number
of items which are helpful. I like the call "grab" which puts the call into the
call box and the call recognition which shows a
John,
I believe the author of AirLInk Express (KR1ST) has abandoned that program.
The AirLink Express webpage has been "Under Construction" for several months
now. I used it briefly and it was indeed a nice and simple program. Digipan
is free and nice, so is HamScope. My favorite, althoug

Although it is perhaps a little early for heath and welfare traffic
related to the Haiti disaster, my Hf station is active and scanning

I have a TS-520 (no S or SE) that I use with a homebrew interface. The
interface is a simple audio transformer for TX audio and a 1 transistor

isolation. Linux is my OS of choice, so I use fldigi most of the time
