I would describe a functional spec as a contract between the product
team and the development team that defines all the modules that needs
to be implemented in the product so that the dev team can figure out
the technical requirements.
This is NOT applicable for a truly agile model, is

In my opinion when you are writing a functional spec it should be
complimented atleast with a wireframe. This will set stage for designs which
can come a little later than the functional specs and the wireframes.

I’m not sure if I like all their ideas but some of these have great
potential. The portable/ accessible aspect of data in a unified system
certainly opens up a lot of possibilities.

Could anyone suggest or point me to design guidelines and examples for
redundancy? I am looking for general design principles that can help me make

Facebook might have done this redesign as a means to scale its capabilities

I use InDesign for my wireframes and I am really quite happy with it.
However, I do not use linked Illustrator files. I create all my assets in
InDesign and save them as library items. I have categorized all my assets

What is most compelling to me, as an Interaction Designer, is that Thermo
would allow me to do rapid prototyping using some very simple interactions.
I usually create my wireframes in InDesign and publish them as PDFs. Thermo
would save a lot of time and effort when I need to create these
