It really sounds like you are not waiting for the initial iTunes scan to
complete.
I'd guess that is going to take at least 30 minutes if all goes well.
With the interval set to 0 there is no initial scan hence no problem
(but no iTunes interaction!)

running slimserver. Then open a Windows command shell,

Could it be a dodgy connection on the wireless card? Mine became unseated
and it was very simple to open the box and push it back into its socket.

I downloaded SS 6.2.1 yesterday and now my remote streaming (over the
Internet to work) doesn't work correctly any more. I manage to start
the MP3 player and play a song using the web interface to SS, but the
MP3 player stops playing the song when that first song ends. I think

Basically yes, what is normally tags in the files becomes entries in the
cuesheet. To me, however, any small convenience advantage that gains is
vastly outweighed by the inconvenience of finding software which
actually understands them properly. FLAC support is rare enough, but
FLAC cuesheet?

the player cuts out for a couple tenths of a second. Buffer goes from
99% to 0% instantly. I am playing a mix of mp3 and apple lossless,
using XP, iTunes, and a wirelessly connected SB1. I moved to the latest
6.2.x nightly,
