I just got a wireless SB3 but after a day of fooling around I can't get

setup process but, in the end, the SB3 times out and goes dark after
failing to find the SlimServer.
I'm using the SB3 wireless and I'm curious to know if there is a way
(plugin or other) to adjust the volume level from my work station.

Slimserver already has a volume control - numbered 1 to 11 (presumably
in homage to Spinal Tap!) - which seems to work. Top right hand side of
screen.

OK, I found out the previous problem was caused because I was trying to
sync with itunes library which is probably not encoded with unicode.
It's working now after I just skip iTunes and sync with the original
music folders.

Please try a wipe and rescan of your library. The album art may have
been added to the file without SlimServer noticing and it may be
sending the art to the player to decode. It _should_ notice this
change if the file modification date changed, so there's some other
underlying problem,
There was one link I created, but it is somewhat buried in the Beginners
Guide. I find using the Wiki's Search works best.

My slim server unit has two nics. One of the nics goes to the Internet
through a 2wire router wireless connection. The second nic goes through
a wired nic to a netgear wireless router and hopefully then to my
squeeze box. Here is my problem: When I enable the nic to get to the
squeeze box
I have the same problem. My iTunes music library is in the normal
place, i.e., ~Music/iTunes/...
I'm using SlimServer 6.2.2. (I had the same problem with SlimServer
6.2.1)

This sounds like kind of an odd setup. Why not put the access point
between your computer and the internet connection?

software configured on the PC so that the devices on the inside can

It sounds like your two different NICs are on different networks,
what happens when both NICs are enabled? What operating system are you
using?
I assume that you are using NAT with your 2wire box, what you probably
want to be doing is...
2wire -- netgear router -- slimserver box
My network seems to slow the system down when I put the squeeze box on
its own it works fine also I use wpa on my internet connection but my
squeeze box doesn't like wpa. This gives me the best of all worlds for
me a open network for the sqeezebox handling only my music and another

Well I've sorted it - for some reason my laptop works with 10.0.0.06
whereas the PSP wants 10.0.0.6 - don't understand why but at least it

I've never seen leading zeros in IP addresses before, perhaps the PSP
browser assumed that wehn it saw a leading zero, it ignored

I found a way to get sound back with SqueezeNetwork.
Lower sound completely (Volume=0)
Hold down Power on the remote
click on 1
Programming Xilinx appear on display
Restart Squeezebox
Connect with Squeezenetwork
Select Internet Radio
Sound is now back...
