access point, something that can pick up your wireless network and plug
the ethernet on the s/b into. i can stream Shoutcast with it, but I run
a Mac, so I don't know all the ins and out of a PC.

folder for the same reason. Is there any way to get it out of there?

I like the SqeezeBox, but I'm looking for a smaller format that could
be handheld and hooked up to ear-phones. Something very simple, like an

Ah...Moose seems to work fine with playlists SlimServer has generated,
but when I try to get Moose to generate a playlist on its own,
problems.
It seems that Moose has not picked up any tags. No Artist or Album

my noisy server, but I need around 200GB of storage space for my
collection, and also want to be sure I can easily add more disks if
necessary. With the mini, I'm guessing that means external USB2

You don't have to switch, both work independently of each other. Your
soundcard gets its source files from any playback application like
foobar or Winamp. Your SB2 gets its source files from SlimServer.
At first I thought you meant you wanted to synchronize the two. But

Have you tried doing a search for all files called *.flac ?
It's possible (though bizarre) that they might have been saved as
hidden or system files, in which case the default setting for Windows
Explorer won't show them - you'll need to change this in the Folder
Options setting.
