You very probably gave us the external (WAN) IP address of your router
instead of the local (LAN) address. The latter should be something like
192.168.001.xyz. Put that latter as your SB's gateway.

FYI - I also have a Nokia N80, which also has 11g.
I did try it a couple of times with the PDA skin.

When I was using DHCP, I had no problems getting internet radio, but my
laptop kept getting bumped of the network due to IP address conflicts.
Now I'm using a static IP which seems to have solved the problem just
mentioned. But now I can't connect to any internet radio stations or
squeezenetwork.
I don't see myself using a usb port or an ipod doc.
It is not that hard to plug a thumb drive in the PC and use browse
folders to play it.
I have sandboxes setup for each of the kids to dump their own music in
and browse folders gets used a lot.
Perhaps one option would be to be able to use bro

Could be bug#4024 (fixed in the nightlies).
Basically if a track has ALBUMARTIST set, the track artist won't show
on the Squeezebox. You can change your tagging or use a nightly,
whichever is easiest.

Do you mean on the Squeezebox display? Try going to your SlimServer web
interface (system preferences -> SlimServer -> web access) then go to
player settings (under settings). Right after player name you'll see
the settings I think you're interested in.

time after time, unless you turn off your Broadband connection for a

It's my belief that you should be able to get this working by tweaking
height and width params until the magic combo is achieved. CSS can be a
fickle mistress.
It could be, however, that PepperPad's firefox is getting confused
about how wide its screen is in fullscreen (that is, it's not taking
below about 83% I get another set of scroll bars - so the "scroll" stays
the same just the central window "pulls away" from the base (with the
stuff about songs, artists server settings etc)

Ah, I see now. Page is too long, not too wide. My mistake.
Try changing the height: attribute in the same pagecontainer div.
If it's set to 85%, try 80%. You may need to iterate down until you
find a height that forces the page to render correctly on your
PepperPad.

We must be either using different versions of slimserver (I'm on a 6.5.1
via subversion checkout), or you are tweaking Nokia770 instead of Touch.
Either way, adjusting the width for the pagecontainer div element should
do what you need. Is it working okay now?

I just wanted to chime in on this situation also. I've been pulling my
hair out for the past week trying to fix the same exact problem. I
also configured McAfee Security Center to scan only documents and
programs. Voila, all 7,236 songs finally showed up.

I ran into this phenomena frequently with the Nokia 770 as well. I don't
think removing whitespace is the way to go, but rather tweaking how
widths are defined in the CSS.
I'll do some experimenting and get back to you in an hour or two.

I just used an 100 Ohm resistor to couple my ground to earth in my power
amplifiers. This should be enough for static. I also added a 100nf
capacitor in parallel. Works like a charm and all humming is gone.

The Nait should be grounded through the mains lead - the ground is
connected to the metal chassis and provides a safety earth in the event
of an internal fault making the metalwork live. Maybe if you're on 110V

Mine does that on shuffle quite often - no idea why. The tracks play
perfectly well in WMP or iTunes so I am stuck for a logical answer.

For the first time that I can remember, the SB3 stopped playing in the

1) Installed latest version of SS on my DELL Notebook. Zone Alarm was
running and I had I Tunes 6.0 during the installation.

Try one last thing... uninstall the slimserver and install it again.
Restart you computer and shut down you internet connection, virus
scanner and fire wall. Then point to you music folder and run the scan.

@ceejay - The music folder is definitely correct as if I choose
Browse>Music Folder on the Squeezebox, everything is showing and
playable. In fact since I played an album by that method, that one
artist/album now shows in the library. Weird. I'm not using iTunes or

it will fix a bug that's annoying you: and you can easily go back if it
introduces something you don't like.
