It's been awhile since anyone has posted on this thread and the launch
of the PS3 has come and gone. I was, fortunate, enough to walk into
GameStop a few days ago, a few moments after they received a new
shipment, and walked out with a 60 GB PS3. Pretty impressive console

My new playlists were not playing though Itunes played them perfectly.
In Itunes preferences general, MAKE SURE THAT 'Let Itunes keep your
music folder organized' IS NOT CHECKED!
Also, don't use regular aliases (in OSX) to organize your
music/playlists
Have you checked that SS isn't blocking some incoming connections?

web page(s) for Genre/Jazz. Note that 8 web pages were built

snarlydwarf, you nailed it! It wasn't a plugin, it was the content
advisor in IE 6 that was causing the slowdown. I have no idea why.
Disabling the content advisor made remote browsing of slimserver as
fast as it should be.

Yes, you can use the laptop to connect two networks. As you guess, you
will need a crossover to connect the SB to the laptop. In Windows you
can then "Bridge Networks" to connect the two together, just look in
Control Panel/Networks and right click a network... or search

You're right about the filemon false positive overflow message.
I turned on all the debug flags and run the scanner again. The scanner
just seems to ignore all the files in those directories on the server.
Next I tried copying four files closer to the root (on the network
share). The scanner fou

The problem likely has little to do with the Vonage adapter, unless in
fact it is handing out a DHCP address to the Squeezebox.
Traffic between your Laptop and Squeezebox won't pass through the
Vonage adapter at all, it's far more likely that you have a firewall
set up on either your router or yo

setting. It's under control panel>folder options>file types.
Highlight jpeg files and hit the advanced button to check the

I have a Wired Only SB3. My routers Ethernet ports have died, but the
wirless still works. I am waiting for the manufacturer to contact me
about a replacement.
In the meantime I can't use my SB3, or can I. I have a dektop PC
running SlimServer. This is connected to the router using 802.11g.

Completely deinstall the Inguz plugin (stop server, move Inguz folder
from slimserver/Plugins to a directory outside slimserver, start
server). I've seen strange side effects when plugins were only
