The soundbridge is an option and af far as i can see it does everythin

The Cuwon is not my favorite player because I have no real use for

As others mentioned the main drawback of FLAC on a portable player is

48kHz. That degrades quality. (You can see the effect visually by
resizing an image to a non-multiple. The real world doesn't work like

The Roku is basically a knockoff of our old SB2.
You can go with the BMW or the Hyundai. They both do the same thing,
but one is definitely superior to the other.

DAC, Signal to noise ratio, formats supported, software, support,

wrong time, UTC instead of the timezone I have set on the Server
(Yast). Could it be that the user slimserver needs its one timezone
setting or that perl has an own timezone to set someware?

I had the same problem recently and the slimserver preferences page
fixed most of the problem. However, note that the stream itself may
actually change your carefully prepared station name when it is in play
mode, even if you changed the name in preferences. I think this has
something to do with

If your problem is renaming Favorites on Squeezenetwork then do the
following.
1. Login in web interface of Squeezenetwork
2. Goto Favorites Tab
3. You will see a list of Favorites - click on the little pen
This is the main reasons why I chose Squeezebox over Soundbridge.
1. Native flac support.
2. 802.11g.
3. The look.
4. Server Plugins.

A few more differences between Roku and Squeezebox.
Only native lossless formats supported are WAV and AIFF.
Itunes integration only using Roku branded unit - if Pinnacle branded
unit is used then Itunes support is only possible using the Firefly
server which user will need to install

fixed it over the weekend by reloading the firmware to my SB3. I won't
guess at why this seemed to fix my issues (music halting for no reason)
but the problem has not happened since.

I know this must sound strange, but I've been off work for a while, and
I have noticed that my SB3 turns itself on and starts to play random
songs! It has happened enough to make me take note. There is no-one in
the house, nothing in the room that the SB3 is in is on, SB3 is off
(not on pause)

Your solution involves changing the name from the PC (I presume)
From any browser - it is just accessing a web site - does not have to
be from your PC or the PC running Slimsever. You can change the order
and add levels.
I don't think it is possible to change from the remote - just add

By default, Leopard turns off the firewall and allows any incoming
connections! If you turn it on, SlimServer will not work.
But I cannot find any way in their GUI either under Sharing or under
Security to open a port, or to specify UDP or TCP!
I think we will have to configure ipfw manually.
I'm having this slowness problem as well but mainly when browsing albums
(especially when album art is enabled).
It takes about 4 or 5 seconds for the page to appear (when album art is
enabled) and another couple of seconds for the images to draw. In other
respects my PC seems pretty fast and

enables you to manage Radio URLs like the list on Squeezenetwork.
MyPicks will appear as a top level menu.
If you go into MyPicks editing, create a new entry and copy the link
