Thanks for the reply although I have to admit, I don't consider it much

menus on the Squeezebox while connected (or at least presumably so) to
Squeeze Network and reset them to English yet every time I switch to

I don't know what to do to uninstall more completely than I have. I
used Control Panel first to uninstall slimserver. Then I searched the
registry for slimserver references and deleted them before massaging it
with Registry Mechanic. I deleted Program Files\slimserver directory.
I rebooted.
Oh, I forgot to mention the Event Viewer.

This Squeezebox controller is high priced for his function. Nevertheless
It's a great tool to control your music from your bed. As I cannot read
the VFD display on the SB3 from that distance.
For $299 you have almost an Asus EEE PC with a lot more functionality
and you can browse your collection
No ... in fact what I did was to first clear all the event logs, and
then tried to start slimserver. What I posted were the only events
noted under Application and System. slimserverMySql was getting start
and stop signals, but slimserver was not posting anything.
