This is awesome. I just ordered a Duet Controller for my SB3 - pure
impulse purchase.
Such a pity you can't order Transporters this way. That would've been

Only having owned my SB3 for a couple of weeks I've caused considerable
surface scratching on the display unit (and having received it as a
present, I'm quite upset by my actions).
Does anyone have any ideas for removing such surface scratches?
Two solutions on the web look promising - such as A
i believe toothpaste is a good polishing agent. perhaps it would work.
and it's cheap!

Been running my sb for over a year no with no problems, until recently.
Not sure exactly when it happened but now in "my music" multiple disk
albums appear once for every disk. The tags are identical. Each entry
has the tracks according to that cd ie.. first entry will be tracks
1-10 and

Don't complain Tamanaco, you should be so lucky...as with most
things this side of the pond, 40% off in the UK just brings them down
to the price that you can already find them for with a regular google
search in the US!!

I am currently using the latest nightly but prior to that was the latest
official release, both of which gave me the same result. I am using 95%
mp3's. I used tag&rename to tag the files from amazon.

I've read positive reviews of AppleSauce at www.newegg.com. Yes,
toothpaste is much too harsh of an abrasive. I learned that when I
tried it on a scratched CD.

Speaking as someone who has lived in both the US and Europe, doing the
same job for the same company no less, I can say the cost of living
here (US) is considerably less than in the UK. Gas is (less than) half
the price, eating out is half the price, technology is significantly
cheaper, real estat

I really liked the mode in which visiting one of the forums was
equivalent to marking it all read.
In the rare cases when I needed to try again, the last posted date/time

I would stick with something designed for plastic.
The Meguiars is cheaper than the applesauce stuff, and has been used
for getting scratches out of automotive plastic parts (like convertible
plastic rear windows... quite possibly the worst place to put plastic in
history) for quite a bit longer.
A couple of times a week I run into a problem with Squeezecenter
resetting. It plays about 10 seconds of a song and then starts at the
beginning again and keeps repeating itself. At first I thought it was
something with my Duet but my SB3 was doing the same thing so I opened

I have 2 Squeezebox 2's that work perfectly with static IP addresses. I
just got a third Squeezebox (Classic) and, when I run through the
network setup, I assign everything, and then try to connect to
SqueezeNetwork. I then see a message "Assigning IP address" and it
connects via DHCP.

When it works properly, I find the Notmad/Anapod Playlist Index very

Squeezecenter is not a player in itself, but there is a software player
called Softsqueeze which comes with Squeezecenter.
Like andy said, it doesnt make sense to hang onto wmp, foobar etc. You
can only stream from Squeezecenter or Squeezenetwork.

This afternoon I replaced the connection between my PC and stereo. I
unplugged the audio cables from my "high end" PC audio card, and
connected my new Squeezebox to my 90's era receiver. The difference
in sound quality was phenomenal, with much higher definition and
dynamic range. I always tho

Recently, in the last few days, my Nokia 770 has 'no body' in the 'now
playing' and doesn't respond in the playlist '+' push. Anyone have any
idea what's going on? Nothing's changed as far as I know on the
server/PC side (win XP Pro Sp2, with AVG 7.5 and ZoneAlarm - slimserver
6.5.3).

sure that javascript is enabled on the 770's browser.
Nothing that you've done with your 770 (e.g., software updates, etc.)
