You may want to try another wireless router. Some have better channel

best because it can handle many small packets quickly without dropping

I found this app today. It allows you to use iTunes to search their
store and then, with a click, find the same album or artist on Amazon
(usually cheeper, usually at a higher bit rate, and always without
DRM).
Check it out:

I fail to see the attraction of overpriced self contained "music

I'd just add that iPeng works very well in combination with the iPeng

The other thing which a lot of people miss is that you won't get any
output until you start playing something :) A player connected over
stream.mp3 is an individual just like a physical SB, so you have to add
tracks to it's playlist and hit play.

LAME is required for this and it's not included, so you need to drop a
copy of it in SC's bin directory.

I'm under the impression that one can stream mp3 to XMMS, WinAmp etc...
I have experimented with this and can't get it to work.
It seems that xmms and winamp both connect to the ...:9000/stream.mp3
URL.
The players show up in the Web Interface. There is no output.
My entire collection is flac.

Hi Does anyone know how to set my PS3 to do the following:
I have a PS3 which is mostly connected to my av amp optically to view
movies or play games.
But I have a Slim Devices Transporter music server - which has a very
good DAC built into it.
What I want to do is play my existing cds on the PC
Thanks for your response, Mark.
I will have to read your comments closely. I don't have experience
with the bridging functionality, so I will have to investigate. Thanks
for the time.

Hey guys, I added an SBR to my network of SB3s.
I am running it wirelessly over wireless-b. I have 2 ethernet wired

The SBR has 73%-75% signal strength, and it stutters like crazy. It
stutters with FLAC, AAC, MP3 256, and S/N.

Hi,
How are you connecting it to your Squeezecenter? Crossover cable? Or
do you have a switch/hub on your network?
I had problems getting my Slimp3 to run on my network until I noticed
