me: why would you bother running your SB on SqueezeNetwork if you have a

You can manage plugins (including installation, removal etc.) from within
SC. No need to fiddle on the file system any more.

One tip - if you're faced with a lot of spams to report, you only need
to report one post per spammer, as we'll always delete all posts by the
same user. The patterns I've seen historically usually have one or two
fake users posting a bunch and then vanishing.

Pandora - My favorite, but it has some quirks. It has a huge supply of

I'm pretty sure that a US laptop(or SB boom, probably) cannot see
channels 12 and 13.
I ran into this issue when a US friend tried to use her laptop at my
home in London.

Boom will work as there is only one version of firmware.
Your laptop will depend on the wireless card and its associated driver
- you would need to check this out separately.

Don't play multichannel music on the Transporter or the SB. It doesn't
support it. Downmix it to 2-channel using software first.
If you're passing it digitally to a decoder that supports multichannel,
it may work but you might have to do some preparation of the file first,
search the forum.

i think it should work just as well as the traditional remote, but it
will not go and interactively show album art and such. it will just
issue commands towards the player, which makes it suitable for the Boom
(since it has a display), but less so for the Duet, since you wouldn't

channels above 11 or different firmware, my old netgear had a US and
non US firmware. I think ch13 are "illegal" to use in US but it is not
likely that a SWAT team will knock down your door for that.

Am trying to install thsi via the WHS console but receiving an error
about half way through - " Service squeezesvc failed to start. Verify
you have suficient sytem privileges to start system services"

A WHS add-in is fantastic news - really glad to see this is being worked

In terms of integration, anything that would otherwise require the user
to remote into the home server itself needs pulling into the WHS
Console. Definitely changing ports is required in the console, as MeSue
says.

First I have to say I love Squeez
I see no point in putting the Web GUI into the console. It's a lot
faster to open a web browser than the WHS console. However, it would be
nice to have a way to restart SC remotely since you need to do that when
installing and updating plugins.

I think the fact that I can install SC without having to remotely access
the server makes life much easier.
As you can change all of the settings using the web gui, don't see much
need for a specific front end within the WHS console.
