That warning is just that. The xPL code has not been fully updated to
the current architecture. Without fully checking I don't think it is a
showstopper for you.
If you still are having problems, please answer the following fault

How did you send the text command?

At £1299 why would you want to? I'm mad but not that mad!

I will try this today evening. Indeed I think that SC doesn't receive
the xpl messages.
I use SC on a Synology 207+ NAS. I cannot run java on the NAS. So is
there a xpl logger application to test that the xpl messages are
received on the NAS and SC?

Question:
Hi Chris,
I'm probably sending you down the wrong path again but I awoke this
morning to find one of my receivers constantly 'rebooting' when trying
to listen to a radio 1 live stream. I spent lots of time trying to
solve it (about 2 hours) and now suddenly it is working again.
Reviewing my
Hi Adam,
Thanks for the follow up. What you say is very interesting, because I
was wondering about the same thing. I noticed lots of sync requests,
and occasional sync errors (possibly meaningless) in the server log,
and I've tried turning off SN syncing/integration. I'm really unclear

Indeed, you can download Gerry Duprey's xPLLIB
http://www.xpl4java.org/xPL4Linux/downloads/xPLLib.tgz from his xPL
website. This is C code for Linux: http://www.xpl4java.org/xPL4Linux/
This contains C source code for the above mentioned logger and
xPLSend applications.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that
Second hand ones come up from time to time in the region of £800.
That's how I got mine.
The Superfi deal is good if you want to go new, however.

Just bumping this thread for two reasons:
ralphy, if git isn't your thing, if you can make your subversion

be happy to maintain a git mirror using git-svn.
Also, regarding my problems with streams; it seems that the problem
Luke,
Squeezeslave doesn't currently support wma, you'll need to transcode
those files/streams. There are details on the wiki, although I see it
hasn't been updated for 7.3

Hi Chris,
Other things that were occuring this morning which don't help with your
problem at all include my two receivers not playing the same radio
stream in sync regardless of how I told them to syncronise with each
other. Obviously my problematic receiver would shortly reboot before
Are you using it with the IR Blaster plugin?
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/IRBlaster
I don't know that it does anything without it. It might, I have some
vague recollection it just echoes any IR commands it doesn't process
(i.e. any commands destined for other devices) to the IR
The old Slim Devices remote used to develop problems in the solder to
the IR emitter sometimes, easily solved by re-soldering the connection
from the emitter to the circuit board if you know how to solder and can
pry the thing open.
However I haven't heard of this problem with the new Logitech
how about on a Transporter, a Duet and Softsqueeze? SoftSqueeze (3.7)
seems to start out synched, but loses it after a song or so.

It works for any hardware players (with the possible exclusion of slimp3
SB1, I'm not sure about those). Software player sync is not
guaranteed/supported (although it should be gapless, it may not be
perfectly in sync with other players).

Thanks Radish -
My experience
Both ways work, and both take you to the exact same screen, which has
the Rescan Timer, Rescan Time, and Rescan Type options. Neither is for
manual rescanning; they're just two different paths to get to the
24-hour rescan timer.

My experience so far has been perfect sync with the hardware players,
but not so fortunate with Softsqueeze. It falls behind quite a bit -
Probably even by a couple of seconds.
Lack of sync with software players is common because of latencies in
the player

Well for some reason the player although not recognising SC would still
connect to the radio stations available via the player.
While connected to a local station,I pressed the brightness button and
it upgraded the firwmware to 125
I'm kind of new here, might upgrade to a Transporter at some time,
currently using the lower end gear. Why not just use the internet
radio access in SqueezeCenter or SqueezeNetwork - are there stations
that aren't accessible?
