If iPeng can access it, you should be able too. What URL are you using on
your local machine? What on your other machines?

any computer other than the host Mac. iPeng 1.2 works just fine. No
Softsqueeze, no Squeezeplay. Tried changing more firewall and router
settings than I can remember with no luck. I'd be happy to check my

Nice work on 7.4, btw. Took a little setup work to get everything
tweaked the way I like, but was generally smooth and we're rocking out.

Not only that, but there doesn't seem to be support for multiple
accounts. My wife and I are both active Squeezebox users (iPeng
iPhone), but we can only access and post to one of our pages (currently
mine.) I hope I'm just missing a setting somewhere, as this seems
weird.

#1 - ensure documentation available and up to date with every release.
It's not acceptable to not have comprehensive documentation for ALL the
products (including the server) in one place, that is up to date for all
released versions.

says radio 1 , the next day after the alarm has played it says

This is not a 7.4 only problem I've had similar issues before somewhere
down the line in 7.3 beta .
The solution was not as clever as it could have been, blow away either
the entire cache folder, if that does not work a completely clean
install .
Btwd eleting the cache folder does remove all sett

Also, what antivirus/internet security are you using - for example,
there is a specific issue with ESET/NOD32 and 7.4 which may show up as a
port 9000 issue - and is fairly easily fixed.

7.4 and 7.4.1 both have real problems with the HTTP Port 9000 setting - when

It's rather odd to think of a plugin as NOT being a "setting"... all
other software I have that use plugins would carry them (and their
settings!) across versions - assuming they are compaible of course!

Ii had the same problem. The only fix was to remove all traces of the
Slim software from my Mac (running snow leopard) and then reinstalling
the nightly beta build of 7.4.1. Both of my SB3's now work fine.
It's drastic, but it did fix it.

My SB3s were stuck. This had happened once before in a 6.x upgrade, and
based on experience I just decided to nix my installation and go for a
clean install. I condiered copying over the preference folders to the
new directory, but then thought that perhaps something would end up
broken given th f
I have seen similar behaviour - since going to 7.4, two of my SB2s have
suddenly shown no display (but audio still working OK) on
mysqueezebox.com.
Now I know "it's maybe not just me" I will investigate further - check
the brightness, reset the player.

This post is to notify of several problems with the new Squeezeplay
software. I upgraded to 7.4 server on ReadyNas Duo. This is
specifically about functionality that does not work, and various
troubleshooting I've done and a workaround or two that is fully
reproducible. Setup is: Squeezecenter
There are probably thousands of us who had no problem with the update.
As I see it most of the issues are already being dealt with by the
developers.
There is one thing in all this that the software developers have no
control over - your hardware, software, and your network. The whole

Moot has the right idea. Copy/move the prefs directory. I do it the
retentive way though and install, rename the new directory so I can put
it back in case of weirdness. Rename the prefs directory, check
everything out. If everything is ok then carry on, if not, put the
original directory back
I reset the SB3 to factory defaults and checked the brightness. The
player works fine with the exception that there is a display only when
the SB3 has been unplugged and is starting up. As soon as it connects to
