I picked up a SB3, and it's got one of the Bolder power supplies
(http://www.boldercables.com/servlet/-strse-381/power-supply-squeezebox-squeeze/Detail).
I'm not an audiophile, so a standard wall wart would do me fine. Can't
find an OEM replacement PS on the logitech site - is this one still
I do have some ideas of my own, but they are still in fledgling state.
So what do you think: How should we fill that big screen?
My first takes:
- Landscape mode. OK, No-brainer. Apple requires this.
- Playlist and NowPlaying always visible. Simple in Landscape mode, how
to do in portrait

I agree, 600x600 artwork to match iTunes (and also albumartexchange.com)
would seem to be sensible.

I've just bought a Nexus One, my first Android device, and also own an
iPod Touch with iPeng, so I was pleased to come across this. Great that
there's an application which allows SC control on my phone, rather than
having to sit with two near-identical devices within reach!

Does TagRename let you see all the tags that are set?
If not, I'd suggest at least having a copy of MP3Tag around - you can
open an album, select all, then ctl-T shows you all the tags in all the
files. Should be useful.

have to setup an alternate boot to get Maemo to be useful anyway).

My thoughts about cost/capability ratio to the side, I think this is a
great device simply because it may drive acceptance of tablets.
Personally, I'd be more interested in a netbook-priced 6 tablet
running Android - but the simple presence of the iPad makes this all the
more likely.

Dedicated buttons for play, pause, next, random, etc on the same page.
Take advantage of the real estate to put everything on one screen

Overall I really like the SqueezeCommander app. It has allowed me to
either retire or sell my iPod Touch and just use my HTC Eris phone.
One thing I would like to see though is Random Mix. I know that I
can add Random Mix to my Favorites and use it that way, but it would be

Another thing I'd like to see Pippin - an option for big text that flows

One unfortunate thing about the iPad is the inability to dock it in

Please enlighten me. I cannot get any 'live scrolling' of RSS feeds in
any mode on an SB3 except when running as screensavers. That would be as
the root menu item 'RSS Feeds' in mysqueezebox.com, or in the Extras
menu with the Info Browser Plugin in Squeezeservers 7.3 or 7.4 on OSX
currenlty running windows 2008
have installed latest version of the software
have 80K songs
is direct atatched storage running on a fast array which can move over
150MB per second
but the scanning is taking hours
and everytime the software is restarted it goes thorugh it all over
again

A few things could cause this - a bit more info would help as suggested
above. The scanner.log and server.log files may give you a clue.
Are you using itunes or MusicIP integration or just the basic scanner?
If your scan doesn't take (i.e. the scan starts up every time you
start up
Look at itunes and the way it looks on the iPad...you can't go wrong
with that, at least visually.

I am running 7.4.1 on a Synology NAS. I have one single playlist
defined on the box called Rock it Out. The name of the playlist
changes itself to Yahoo! News: Business after a few days. I change it
back but then a few days later it is changed back to Yahoo! News:
