Build yourself a mini pc based on an atom mobo so that you can have a
real x86 cpu you be happier with the performance of SBS and transcoding
between formats will work (needs cpu/fpu) .
Put in the OS of your choice and go :)
PS admin in remotely no need for keyboard or screen.

I think the single argument that can possibly excuse dropping the VFD
technology is the fact it was using too much power. But then I expected
to see something like an e-paper type screen as a replacement.
Certainly something a bit more sophisticated and practical than the

I just found the instructions for a clean install. I did the clean
install and rescanned.

Hi all, new to the forum, its been very useful for getting info about my
new (to me) squeezeboxes but I am stuck on this one. I have a couple of
Squeezebox 1s and a slimp3 (love the design!) and all of my music is
stored in FLAC format. I have managed to instal LAME so the Slimp3
will play my
FOUND THE PROBLEM!
Under the iTunes tab, the iTunes Music Library.xml Location had been
changed somehow to the iTunes Library.xml instead of iTunes MUSIC
Library.xml
No idea how that happened.
Changed the location, it rescanned and all is good now.
Guess we better write that one down.
