Dear Pippin,
Logitech decide to leave the software open for the community.
So, I decide to search for a possible solution with their products.
I realized, that there are a lot of Plugins and I found a better

That's the only product on the market that can wake up
You don't need to hack your iPod, I haven't done that for years now.
If you want to, you don't have to pay for it and in most legislations

I'm not so sure. They'd probably need a new processor generation for
that.
Retina Display would mean 4 times the pixels, 4 times the memory and 4
times the processing power for graphics.

So i even went in and deleted the entire squeezebox pref pane,
reinstalled squeezebox server, and it still won't start, getting the
same basic messages as above, ending with the following:
[10-10-08 04:06:17.8201] Carp::Clan::__ANON__ (214) Warning:
Carp::Clan::__ANON__():
OK, i think i fixed it. I went in to squeezebox preferences, Advanced
tab, and selected both cleanup of preferences and the cache (i had only
tried preferences before). Cleaning up the cache appears to have fixed
the problem.

Apologies if this has been discussed. I have an older amp, with no IR
or serial or network control. You know, it has one of those rocker
switches that goes clunk. I've been searching for a while now for a
power switch that I can use to control power to the amp, that also has
network connectivity

This can be used if you have a local squeezeboxserver running , note
that sound and vidoe sync might probably be off .
For youtube nor so important but unusable for movies

There is also the simplest plugin: take a cable with 3.5mm male
mini-plugs on each end (like the one that ships with the Boom), plug
one end into the Boom's line in and plug the other end into the
laptop's headphone out. You probably need to set the Boom's line in
volume higher than the default
