Is it just me or has the option to enable 1GB+ memory tuning for MySQL disappeared from the final 7.5.2 release (using the debian version from repository). I have checket my.tt and there seems to be no tuning there either indicating some kind of auto-tuning. -- marsboer

This is precisely what my sb3 was doing last night, and it's the problem described in the other thread. (In my early panic, I tried power supply switches, different outlets, etc.) The answer is a factory reset. It would be a big coincidence if the OP's problem was exactly what's being reported

1.0.3? Do you do a nightly Clear and Rescan of your libray? Does iPeng start up anew? Usually it should just be waking up and in that case it only loads any new data if you have done a rescan. Doing a Clear and Rescan on a low-powered server is always a bad idea, iPeng has to refresh it's caches

It would be easier to recognize updates of the Squeezebox Server software if the message for Mac owners were more specific. It's really not enough to have the System Preferences show up on launch, with a message about having to quit and reopen. -- williepitt

ANDYG, is this true? has anyone checked the 7.5.3 beta to see if its in that? Yes, that's true. If you read the announcement then you'll see that the released 7.5.2 was basically a firmware release only. Don't panic: if you've been using 7.5.2 before, you should upgrade to the 7.5.3

Looks like 128 is the factory default setting. I've changed this to 1 to set it to Wireless. (0 is wired) I've changed that and the lan gateway and lan network address as advised. I've also done some reading and found that my wireless network region should be 14 for the uk so have changed that

Glad that did the trick. You may want to set your SB3 to auto-update. It's in the firmware menus, which you can access by holding down the left arrow button for about 5 seconds. Many users find this useful, especially after they lose or break the SB3 remote, because newer remotes such as the
