Hi
How can I prevent my duet controller going to sleep. If I leave it
alone for a short period, I have to wake it up before I can get it to
do anything. I am sure there is something I can set within settings
but thought to check here first.
Thanks

CPU usage is normally around 40% which is not bad I suppose for a

Without an fpu that's quite good, depending on the stream format. I
run SS on a Pentium MMX 133MHz cpu laptop, with an fpu at around 60%
cpu playing flac.

First off, thanks for squeezeslave!
I am running the latest squeezeslave from svn and it works just

Maybe they could just make a leap forward and bring a unified SB / Revue

Using OSS audio on my laptop above I have to use -p940 to quell the same

Yes I'm using OSS through the old portaudio. I hacked the portaudio
driver apart because the empeg sound device does not support any
ioctls. It also requires chunks of 4608 bytes.
Get ShairPlay4w, configure and install it as service (at least true if
you are running a Windows box as Squeeze server), do sound setup, then
enable the WaveInput Plugin and create a favourite. Done!
Works like a charm. :-)
Oh... Make sure you have valid Sound I/O on the server first. I had to
Is there anyway to change the device name? When I change mine it always
reverts back to a poorly formatted device name?

It's not possible to change yet.
If I find a free hour on the weekend I might implement the playername
as a setting.

Did you know: *'SqueezePlayer' (www.squeezeplayer.com)* will stream all

There are power save settings which can be tweaked. They are fairly
well hidden, however. I am at work, so don't have the controller in
front of me... it's buried down in path something like

Yeah! I've been a long-time iPeng user and decided to pick up
SqueezePad both to see what it's like and to help support third-party
app development.
See this post for how to get to the setting you want:

I have an original SLIMP3, and I'd like to get a remote control for it.
It came with (I think) a Sony remote.
Will any of the newer Squeezebox remotes work for me? I'd especially
like to use one of smaller radio or boombox type remotes, as this would
fit nicely in my pocket. I use the device
You should be able to use JVC DVD remote codes with a universal remote
to control the SLIMP3.

I removed the mutex locks from pa_callback by moving some stuff around.
Maybe I did it wrong, but it didn't seem much better.
When stuttering I see pa_callback: SLIMAUDIO_BUFFER_STREAM_UNDERRUN.
It seems like this happens at two different times. Sometimes it happens
as the old track is still
