I host my slimserver (V6.3.1) on a Linkstation and since it has a
network activity led on the front panel, I can see that displaying the
clock even with just HH:MM format, still sends data every second to my

Yeah, I apologize. I misunderstood what Dan meant exactly when he
mentioned not offering support for the LS in 6.5
Yes a Linkstation is cheap. If you can afford something better,
consider it. Otherwise an LS (gigabit or otherwise) will work.

anymore (Slim Devices is dropping the support for the LS on version 6.5

days at similar or slightly higher prices.

I know there is a way for SlimServer to use MusicMagic directly from

2) set to the main artist and
"artist" (TPE1) set to the contributor(s) will do the trick. For those
albums, do I need to set all tracks "album artist" = main artist even
if certain tracks don't have other contributors? should the art
erful machine in the forseeable future.
My music collection has 17500+ tracks (in 1300+ albums) and I have
slimserver look for artwork too.
The HG model has a 33% faster CPU (266 vs 200 MHz) and double the RAM
(128 vs 64MB) so it might be better to choose an HG.

Playing my .jpg picture files on the TV screen would be awesome. Being
