Does anyone know how to fool the Mac version of MusicIP into doing local
analysis?
Under Options > Server I've unticked the "Connect to server" box but

(www.roomieremote.com) to control my AV kit and this works with an
adaptor from www.globalcache.com for devices that still use IR. I think

working ok, however I've noticed that if I stop and start LMS, LMS
doesn't recognise the Receiver until I switch the Receiver off and on

They've been completely problem free and I haven't touched them since I
set them up.
I'm not sure what the max bandwidth is but I've been streaming Apple
Lossless at approx. 1Mbps without a problem. Both adaptors are
in 6.2.2 were still there, importing from MusicIP doesn't
work properly and I couldn't see any other advantages of 6.5.4 so went
back to 6.2.2.

which are significantly worse than the usual rip-offs we are used to
getting.
There are a lot of complaints about this on the Beatport forum so

I use ALAC and have had no problems at all. Mac Mini running OSX 10.4.4
with music on external La Cie HD, Netgear WGR614 Router + SB3 and 2 x
SB2. SB3 uses optical digital out into Musical Fidelity DAC. SB2s use
analog out into Arcam and Cambridge Audio amps.

I totally agree that I only see the justification to check the music
library stats when you do something to change them. With me, that's
only when I do a rescan as I don't use iTunes, composer, various
artists or compilation album features.

Have the missing albums been filed under "Various Artists"?
Recent functionality in the 6.2 release means that Slimserver will do
this if the compilation tag is set - I don't know if this is also in
6.1.1.

I use a Mac Mini + external LaCie firewire drive as a dedicated music
server and have had no problems that appear to be Mac specific.
Mac aliases aren't yet supported however you can create symbolic links
and I think alias support is planned for the future.

I have same problem with 6.1 on OSX 10.4.
After a number of hours when my Mac isn't being used (e.g. overnight or
when I'm at work), Slimserver becomes inaccessible through the web
browser and needs to be stopped and restarted.
What debug information could I collect?
