I have tried it again and I am pretty sure I am doing the right thing
and it is still vey unreliable. I hold the FF key down for a couple of
seconds and it says "Now scanning 2x". If I press the FF key again for
a couple of seconds it scans at 4x and if I press play then it starts
playing. This is
i actually have the same "unreliable" experience. particularly with RW.
i can go from normal to 2x to 4x to 8x but when I press play it doesn't
always actually play from where the counter shows. hard to describe.

I have also found FWD and RWD to be fairly hit-and-miss with FLAC. But I
never use it these days - I use the SongScanner plug-in instead, which
does seem to be reliable, and (at least for me) has a more appropriate
method of seeking within tracks. rbl: if you've not tried SongScanner
yet, it's wor
yes - have tried the Song Scanner plugin which works well. But of course
you can't scan and listen at the same time so getting to where you want
to be is a bit tricky. Also it is not as handy to use although I
believe you can reconfigure the FF and FR keys to use it ..

Do your FLAC files have a SEEKTABLE? and if so what are the SEEKPOINT
intervals?

I just created the FLACs with EAC. I am not aware of any seektables,
cuesheets or anything - not even sure what they do. Is this for the
FF/FR buttons, or for Song Scanner? Should I add them?
