To change the subject from the new Duet, can anyone recommend any
speakers to go with a new SB3 for a budget of £100.
I've seen some Accoustic Energy (AE26) ones recommended (AE26), any
feedback on these anyone?
One caveat, is that I don't want anything too bulky!
Cheers folks.

Thanks - I will take a look at a local dealer and see if I can find
them. As I see what is available at the various price points I think I
may adjust my range up a little.
I found a pair of BW 600 Series DM602S3 on sale last week for $500.00.
Not on sale this week - but I may audition a few

Most of the bookshelf speakers I can recommend are a little higher than
your price range. I normally highly recommend staying away from big
box stores but I did get a pair of 2 way Harmon Kardon bookshelves
about 6 or 7 years ago that I was extremely happy with for a small room

yea - I guess I will hit some of the BB stores and do some listening
tests.
BTW, I have those phone line filtering devices - they work fairly well.
I wish that I could find something equivalent for filtering the RF
interference out of the AC wiring. I have a keyboard amp and a set of

Try any of the Klipsch RB Series Bookshelf Speakers. I currently use
RB-35s for my surround speakers. They really kick and the bass output
is great. Fairly large though.
They can be had on Ebay for a good price.

I've become a fan of Paradigm speakers, and have a pair of Monitor 7
floorstanders that I use with our Squeezebox. Those are out of that
budget, but I've heard good things about the Atoms and Titans, both
from the Performance line. They should be $220 or $250 for a pair,

Hi All,
I know that this is a much debated topic - but I am setting up a SB
in a bedroom (about 20 ft x 20 ft with 15 sloping ceiling) and am
looking for some good speaker recommendations.
I have a yamaha receiver recently purchased (RX-659 - for about
$300.00) and a SB2 bought off of eBay. I
A pair of BW DM303's will run you $300 for the pair, and they're pretty
small/inobtrusive--about 13 tall. They poop out at the low end at just
over 100Hz (can be fixed with a sub), but other than that they sound
pretty good in a small room, especially for their price.

The Aego-M are powered of course - so I'd be looking for non-powered
equivalents...
