Just got off the phone with technical support.
It seems there is definitely something wrong with my SB and/or Remote.
After unplugging the power supply, you can press and holding the "Add"
button while reconnecting the power to reset the SB to factory
defaults. This function is independent of th

This morning I programmed my Harmony 550 to run my SB. Still no luck.
The SB doesn't respond to the Harmony signals either.
This is very bizare. Now I'm thinking the SB is the culprit.
I might just buy a second SB just to see what happens. (any special
promo's going on?)

This points pretty strongly towards physical remote failure (or low
battery power--but you replaced the batteries). If you have access to
a video camera with an infrared

Well things have gone from bad to worse.
I thought it would be a good idea to update to the latest version of
Slimserver. That went ok, until the point that the software demands
that I upgrade my firmware version.
To initiate the firmware update I must press and hold the brightness

What about the performance statistics? I got a great tip in this thread

Well, that does narrow things down a bit. Can we assume you've taken
the other tips in the thread and tried a server-reboot and fresh
batteries in the remote (the good response at the be

Hello,
I'm having the exact same problem with my 2 year old SB2. It worked
flawlessly for nearly 2 years until recently. I haven't done any
firmware or software updates in over 1 year. Not sure what versions I
have installed.
It's very frustrating. As described the remote works for a few but

Hi!
No, I can't seem to remember changing anything for at least a couple of
months. Not even a version upgrade of any software. The latest change
was when I upgraded to SlimServer 6.5.2 today. Even though, I disabled
all antivirus/spyware applications and tried it. To no avail.

Hi
You say everything was working fine for about a year until recently.
Did you do anything "recently" to your system that might have caused
this change in behaviour? Perhaps installed new software, changed
firewall/anti-virus etc, or was that the time you went over to a VM
system?

You're running under vmware? That would be the main suspect, then.

Wow, that's a lot of plugins. -None- are required really, but some are

Hi again!
Thank you very much for your tip about checking performance. I never
figured it could have anything to do with that. Anyhow, here's the tail
of the log you requested:

See http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.cgi?DiagnosingPerformanceIssues ,
in particular the section on Server Performance.
Turn on performance monitoring, play a few tracks and get the remote to
lock up a couple of times, then post the performance monitoring output.

Hello again!
Some progress in my troubleshooting...
I tried the 'factory reset' (add button on remote). It did successfully
execute a factory reset. Afterwards I had to choose region, wireless
network, enter wpa password etcetera. I have a rather long wpa
password, and I experienced no problem a

Hi!
I own a Squeezebox 3 which I'm very satisfied with. I'm actually
considering buying another one for the kitchen. But... after
successfully been using the device for almost a year, suddenly I get
some strange behavior.
