Another use for EDO is USB only DAC's . They are quite common , the idea
behind them is to have good computer audio and USB is commonly found on
computers . Now you can utilise such a product on a Touch .
IMO it is quite silly to not have multiple inputs on a DAC , I like my

We where discussing ratings 5 or 10/half star both would work for me .
But whats really lacking (and why I not rate much ) is the ability to

That can make it look random if a bunch of files is just orphaned in a
folder and that folder also has some jpg files .

You have to rescan for changes to be applied by lms .
And you can do a scan playlist only scan and maybe see something in the
LMS log files when it does this scan ? you migth have to apply some more
verbose log setting to see more details.

People with Squeezebox 3 have reported broken output capacitors , with
this symptom .
Is this an original slimp3 or squeezebox 1 ?
The SB2 or SB3 have digital outputs , so conections to a DAC or a
Digitla in on a reciever would work fine .

I stopped reading when it said DLNA :)
I think you can simplify your quest greatly by excluding upnp/dlna when
searching media sustems based on that does not have the functionality
that us squeezebox user come to expect .
But otherwise keep looking . Eventually one day something must replace
the
