Hi all, I just installed OOo 2.0.2 on Ubuntu and it looks very different from 2.0 (but in a good way). It looks like a Gnome app now. It has a different set of icons, which I remember from the Novell fork. This change seems odd for a micro release. Has anyone else seen this or is my computer

I used alien to convert the .rpm packages to *tgz* not Deb. I extracted them and put the result in the /opt/ directory. I prefer this because I don't want to mix my Debian system with external RPMs. I prefer to keep my base system following the Debian release and put anything from outside in th

My PC was running slow, so I went in to check the RAM usage...and I noticed that the OpenOffice QuickStart (listed as soffice.bin) takes 45,100KB of RAM to run on this Win2k system!
