I've never heard of those, to be frank. You literally see the words
"vendorerrorcode" in a generic CF error message?

For those
interested, there have been some CF/Flex integration videos offered in various
forms recently, as listed at Damon Cooper's blog. These are NOT from CFUnited.
(Don't know whether those will be offered if indeed they were
recorded.)

Thanks very much for the CFEclipse feedback as well.
On a separate topic, where could I find a listing of CF7 VENDORERRORCODE
numbers, there descriptions, and perhaps suggested resolutions?
Currently trying to deal with VendorErrorCode 208...which seems to show up

Well, again, I want to make the assertion that HomeSite+ is
also "free"--if you already have a license for DWMX or Studio MX, of course. I
know that may smack some as either disingenuous or a technicality, but I do mean
it seriously. I know a lot of folks who don't like DWMX much and still ha
Be careful: HomeSite does NOT equal HomeSite+. HS can be
purchased, HS+ is bundled in DWMX/Studio MX. You're right, though, that there's
little mention of that. And again, beyond hiding it on the site, it's not even
in the installer. So many people have it and don't even know
it.

I'll do a brief overview:
Pros
- Free (that's a wonderful word)
- It basically does everything that studio does (color coding, help, bookmarks,
etc)
- It's extremely customizable - from snippets, shortcuts, layout, etc. Just a
very tweakable interface
- Constantly being updated by the
Allen,
Can you share with the group what functionality you like MOST about
Eclipse with the CF Eclipse plugin.
That is as opposed to the CF Studio or Homesite+ CF functionality.

Thanks for the feedback. . Thanks
for informing me that Homesite is included in the Studio 8 software bundle.
The Adobe/MM store website seems to hide or at least downplay that Homesite is
included.

there trying to decideECLIPSE IS FREE! =) It took me a little
while to get used to it, but I love Eclipse now. The biggest downfall I've
seen is the absence of FTP. But, other than that, it is a b
Well, I'll just speak up for the other "dinosaurs" who
haven't gotten into Eclipse. :-) I just find that various things I'm used to
aren't there, and while I suppose they may be there if I poke around enough, the
problem is typical of getting any developer to move from one editor to another.
I'm with Teddy for the most part, eclipse simply rawks. Its CVS and
SVN support built into your IDE are uber sweet and cfeclipse is really
coming along and even has RDS plugins now from Adobe. Only real draw
back is FTP support. I like how DW has easy upload via FTP on a per
file basis. I rare
What I have found interesting is that the
New FLEX developer was built using Eclipse. IMHO if you are wanting to get the
latest studio that will be the next IDE for development (not trying to promote
but rather keep up) then the Eclipse with CFEclipse might be your best bet. I

Not quite: CF Studio was indeed built from
HomeSite, virtually identical except that it added various CFML-specific
feature (and things like RDS support). Both product evolved together and could
be bought separately, with Studio always about 3-times more expensive. When MM
