Hi all
Ubuntu 9.10 installed on new PC and Laptop up-dated, majority is fine
but problem with Xsane and my scanner.
It worked OK under 9.04 but not on 9.10, any ideas please?
Details are:
Xsane 0.996
sees scanner as Lide 50 with genesys:libusb:002:003
Gnome 2.28.1 Kernal 2.6.31-15-generic

Oh. I don't mind re-installing everything from scratch and she doesn't have
much on her home directory (which is on a different partition anyway). I'm

Unfortunately, my eee was stolen a few weeks ago. I've replaced it
with an earlier model Aspire One. That said, assuming all the
hardware works on both, there shouldn't be much difference in the

Anyone installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10 yet? I've just run it from a USB
stick to show my wife the differences between 9.04 and 9.10. It seems a step
forward and if the boot speed on an installed system is enhanced as much as
full blown Kubuntu was, then it's worth it for that alone.
