Hi Clive, It's the DVD text menu showing Mint 17.1 and Memcheck, so booted from DVD. Select Mint and that's when it goes to blank screen and nothing more happens. OK, there's probably a means of using that menu to edit the command line that boots Mint. Look for splash and quiet. Remove

Hi all I've been trying to burn a 'Live' disk/USB of Mint 17.1 Cinnamon 64bit without any luck and would like to know what I'm doing wrong. So far have done the following:- Downloaded The ISO image from the main web site via a UK mirror, software is on the desktop so it's easy to find. Used
