comparison to a Shure 444 it sounds muffled and muddy. I now use the Shure
with the TR&. Does anyone know of any mods that can be done to the
7077 to improve the audio quality?
My TR 7 has a different sound on USB and LSB on
receive. It sounds tinny and USB and muddy on LSB. I've been told
the TX audio is muddy on LSB but that may just be the mike which is the stock
Drake desk mike.
Any ideas? Maybe a filter

The TR7 I obtained 2 weeks ago does not have the
NB7 noise blanker. I am thinking of trying to get one. Are they hard
to find? If so, what's the going price and is it worth the
money?

My new (to me) TR7 came with the stock 7077 desk
mike. I don't work a lot of phone so I don't want to spend a lot of money
on a new mike. I've received less than stellar audio reports compared to
an old Shure hand mike I have used with the rig. Are there any easy/cheap

I just acquired a TR7 that works great except for
the volume control. It won't reduce the volume all the way even when fully
CCW and ready to engage the off switch. It appears to be a ganged
volume/on-off switch. Anyone had this happen and if so, what's the
fix?

I would love to add a TR-7 or TR-7A in good to
excellent condition to my Drake collection. I would prefer it have
the CW filter and power supply. The catch is I need to trade as funds and
space are a little low right now. I have an Icom IC-718 I purchased new 2
years ago that I can trade.
