With this modifications - as the snapshots do not include libGL &
Co. - you are safe (well, at least I am ;-).

compiled X myself (4.2.0, that is). But I'm also using the latest r200
binary snapshot (with radeon_drv.o from 0924). As far as I know these
drivers where compiled with gcc2.96. So, there's no problem
here. Well, except this radeon_drv.o-thingy ;-).
Bye, Ad
It works. I even have Xv.
That leads me to another question: what exactly is in radeon_drv.o?
Bye, Adam.

If it's zero degrees outside today and it's
pied libxaa.a over my previous one. And it
works! Although the installation was a bit of a hassle, thank you all

The same applies to me. It was just a matter of money and the

t know, but could something else be interferring here? I had
similar Problems - i.e. the frame counter dropped (but not to 0) and
went up again every second or so ... This was due to gkrellm. Shutting
it down before playing q3/q2 helped.
Do you have anything that's polling every second or
ell.
Giving the stage of the (e.g. Radeon 8500) drivers I'd say every user
using them is a beta tester ;-). i.e. at least for me radeon.o always
locks up my box with glxgears ;-(.
Bye, Adam.
