Dear Kevin,
Thank you so much Kevin!, now dc.type is now showing as facet. I still have
problems regarding dc.subject though if I want to configure it as a facet.
We have entries in dc.subject.lcsh and dc.subject.other so I tried to use
dc.subject.* in schema.xml to include all entries in
Dear Elvi,
I think you need to change your configuration from
solr.facets.site=dc.type,dc.contributor.author,*dc.subject.**

to
solr.facets.site=dc.type,dc.contributor.author,*subject*
,dc.date.issued_dt
Now why do you need to do this you may ask, well for the
Well, if you have time to work out some precise examples so that the
problem(s) can be reliably reproduced, that would be appreciated.
Then we can fix the code so that it's easy to find and correct the
troublesome data, or so that they don't go in in the first place.

Graham All,
That's good to hear, although I'd still have a concern around ongoing
maintenance of a separate Oracle demo server. DuraSpace doesn't have the
staff to maintain yet another demo server just for Oracle (as you may
know, our entire DSpace tech staff is literally just myself).

Hi...
OK another stupid DSpace 1.7.1 question from me :)
I have done an upgrade from DSpace 1.6.2 to DSpace 1.7.1, but it doesn't look
as if the Solr stats are running.
I do see the following errors. Does anyone have any ideas what I am doing
wrong?

How is your solr.log.server configured? Setting it to 127.0.0.1 seems to
be the best bet.

George,
Try verifying your localhost and 127.0.0.1 are well defined in /etc/hosts.
A side note, You will probably want to go with port 8080. Are you using the AJP
connector on port 8080, this will not work. You verify you are using the HTTP
connector.

Hello Kevin, thank you so much, changing the dc.subject.* to just subject
worked, but now, all subjects have duplicate entries that were in lower
