The issue is the symbol (or actually the lack of a symbol). The APRS packet format !3912.21N08421.72W/ should actually be !3912.21N/08421.72Ws where 's' is a character denoting the symbol used for your station. The symbol is a setable value in the 2820, consists of 2 characters, usually '/'

I sure encourage you to set GPS AUTO TX to OFF so the radio only sends GPS data when you talk. This is especially true with your transmissions going to a reflector. Not many folks want to be shot gunned with a non voice PTT every so many minutes. (Once the new wears off). Thanks and vy 73,
