It was my first thought too. I'm definitely sure this is the problem with my PB540 : no startup when on batteries because of the dead PRAM-battery. I can see the logic that the same would apply for the duos. I suppose it fails to startup because it uses power from the PRAM-battery for the init

Actually the keyboard is slightly wider than the 2400 (which I have problem typing on) and a bit deeper, so it is easier to use. The TiSub is the same depth as the 2400, so it will fit on an airline tray, but the screen seems taller than it actually is in my photo, because it would only be as deep
