I don't think this is an issue of connectivity or the desire for non-computer-savvy hams to have to much through the ARRL site, etc. In my opinion, it's exactly the same issue as paper QSLs versus LoTW. With the standings printed in the yearbook, it's there on paper pages, now and forever more
