I have had the problem at times in the past , every time it has turned out to
be a problem with the internet provider, not the cluster set up or Dx4win. Try
this cluster, it is bullet proof. If you get dropped i would say you have a
problem with your server.

Hi Jim,
Sounds good to me. Looking forward to getting 6.04.
Thanks, Buddy/K4CJB
I use VE7CC software (http://www.bcdxc.org/ve7cc/default.htm) to
connect to the cluster and then interface DX4WIN to it through a
local network. VE7CC will reconnect if you get dropped and DX4WIN
will never know it was disconnected.

Hi Jim,
I was wondering if the problem with group numbers has been fixed?
It was OK in 5.03 and went pear-shaped in 6.02/3.
I use a different group number for each of my old or current calls and

There isn't a solution readily available, since this is typically
an ISP inactivity timeout. I've sometimes found that using
a DXcluster node on a different ISP helps.
Opening the packet window and hitting helps,
or running Tardis with really aggressive time sync settings.

Paul is very right. VE7CC is one great cluster and it does have

cannot get it to connect to VE7CC or VE7CC-1, just says:

Tony... The VE7CC-1 cluster is very new and not included in the existing
cluster list. In the ve7cc program folder, open the cluster.dat file and add
this line: ve7cc-1,dxc.ve7cc.net,7373 . Be sure you follow the syntax or
format of the lines in order to ensure the entry is readable. My suggestion
Paul,
Thanks for this info, I am now looking at the cluster.dat file and it shows:
"VE7CC","dxc.ve7cc.net","23"
"VE7CC-1","dxc.ve7cc.net","7373"
In other words second line is as you have shown in the text of your reply
below??
Still when I switch on, select this node all I get is
<1644Z> Wi
Tony once you downloaded VE7CC to a file, mine is Program Files/VE7CC I
ended up with the following folders; cluster.dat, cty.dat, st6unst.log,
ve7cc2.cfg, ve7cc.cfg and ve7cc.exe
I created a desktop icon for ve7cc.exe.
Then I opened my dx4win folder and opened the folder dx4win.tcp and entered
Paul what does the VE7CC-1 cluster offer that the VE7CC one doesn't ?

Hi All,
I am running two Ar-Clusters, both are open one is filtered for NA. There is
no time out set on the clusters. They are both listed in DX4WIN.
You can use them to find out if your time out proublem is on your end
(ie:settings on your computer or your ISP).
All are welcome to use the clust
Answered my own question. Went to web 2., Think I will stick to just VE7CC
as it works so well and if it ain't broke don't fix it.
