I have my K1 at 150 (actually about 175) kHz and I like it. There's quite a bit of activity above 7100, and there are the beacons at 14100. If (when?) I get 30 meters, it will be nice to be able to check WWV. Also, the K1 is capable of Hellschrieber, I think, though I haven't yet found software

Probably re-hashing an old subject here. I need a hand held microphone for the K2 and Elecraft dosn't have them anymore. What's everybody else doing? I can't picture myself with a desk mic in the tent. And for sideband don't really want the headphones on all the time. Thanks! Roland N5VWN K2
