Good Evening,
Oregon weather has returned to the mountain. It seemed chilly after
last week's 90+ weather. I thought about starting a small fire to warm
the house but it was simpler just to go outside and work a while to get
warm. I went through two tanks of gas getting more wood cut u

Hello everybody,
I was out running errands with my wife today and we stopped in at a Bed, Bath,
and Beyond store. While she was in line to do a return I noticed a 50% off
clearance display that included a great little set of amplified speakers that I
am going to use with my KX1. The speakers are
Banana plugs are rated for a goodly amount of current, so do not eliminate
that as a possibility. The problem that I find with banana jacks and plugs
is that the plug and lead usually stick straight out into the air where they
are subject to accidental abuse.

Hi guys. I'm relatively new to the HF scene (I'm trying to get into
it with my K2) and I've got a seemingly simple question that seems to
have stopped me for a second. I need to connect my KPA100 to a Daiwa

Hi Group,
Some of you have already given me some advice on this. I have done some
experiment.
The K2 (without K60XV) can give a stable RF power output above 0.5 watt. For
any setting between 0.1-0.5 by the Power knot, the output is not stable but
will be something not exceeding 0.5 watt.

Wayne, next week is a good time to get your feet wet. Come on in, the water

Hi all,
Just for fun, I occasionally eavesdrop on RTTY (Baudot) QSOs. There's a
lot of activity on RTTY, but it seems to come in sudden bursts --
contests, mostly. In the afternoon/evening I always hear a few stations
on 20 and 40 m.
What I'm wondering is if there are popular ham-band RTTY "
Peter,
Yes, there is a lot of information for anyone on revision levels.
First let me say that any K2 will work great if properly constructed and
aligned. I would never say that the older ones are inferior to the newer,
that is too strong a word.
Any older K2 can be fully upgraded to the newest
Sri, forgot to mention : my questions are on the K2.

I am new to K2.
On their website, Elecraft offers an audio sample of the K2 DSP noise

I hardly can believe this diffference, it sound so great.

I'll try that next time it happens, Ron.
