I just wanted to let folks, who are waiting to hear about their ship
dates, know that my K3 was shipped on Jan 30, 2008. I will be
receiving it on Feb 6th. I ordered it on May 19th at Dayton and was
#134 at the show there.
It seems like their rate of shipping has become more robust.

I have never seen a problem like that before, but I would suggest
starting with the 8R and 8T voltage rails on the control board. If they
are not switching properly between transmit and receive it could
conceivably create a problem like you describe.

It receives fine on all bands. When I transmit (does not matter what power
level or what band) it hangs up. If I keep it on the transmit mode power out
is fine.
I am still having a problem getting by the part II tests. I did find a problem
with RFC15 and replaced it but I still have a problem when I run the cal fctr
on tp3. I get a rapidly changing reading which is now in the 1080 range.
I checked d16, d17,c84, c85 and L31 per problem 235 on Appendix
I like my K3.RX is so quiet. Very crisp CW tone and
super clear SSB reception.
However I have some small problem's :
1. On SSB with headphones plugged in and noise

When doing the filter alignment with spectrogram i see a filtercurve
going up to -30db for approx 5 seconds. Then the signal goes down to
-40db. Alway when switching to another band or to another mode this
happens. This effect is independent from the operation mode (LSB,

After six months of operating, my k2/100 shows high swr/hi curr when
connected to the dummy load. Running in battery/qrp mode, everything is
fine, so I suspected something in the PA. I checked R26/R27 and they showed
about 25k ohms each which seems a bit low (the alignment step calls for 43k
ohms).

common-mode? If so, a simple ferrite toroid choke might solve the problem.
