prevents keying the K2 until an external signal (PTT or the end of your
sequencer chain) becomes active (ground is active).

following... Go to AFSK A mode and set the mark frequency to 1445. That
will give you a center frequency of 1530 which would put you within 30

I got back from Dayton late last night after seeing all the sights at
the Hamvention including the 'Three Amigos of Ham Radio' (You have to
have seen them to believe it! Dressed in full Mexican garb!) and Steve
with the 'Helmet Tower'. Lots of fun.

On the other hand new laptops can have a much longer battery life,
especially some of the new sub notebooks. Only important if you actually

my part, but the Traveler with the Kenwood cable may not be completely
compatible with the K2 (or K3 for that matter).
My thoughts are that the Traveler mic uses an electret element - and

Knowing how it works I am sure that a very tight 200Hz or 250Hz filter would

The Elecraft "250 Hz 8-pole" crystal filter is 370 Hz at the -6 dB point.
You can run the DSP down as low as 300 Hz with this crystal filter and have
minimal roll-off of the 170 Hz shift RTTY signal.
In practice, I have run 200 Hz DSP in large RTTY pileups with great success
in contests for months
